Electrical Estimator / Project Manager

Leonard Workforce Solutions is recruiting an Electrical Estimator / Project Manager for our client, Apollo Group, Inc. in Kingston, PA.

This is a full-time, in-office position with occasional site visits. The typical schedule is Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm.

Position Summary

Apollo Group (http://apolloinc.com/) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Electrical Estimator/Project Manager to join their team. The Electrical Estimator/Project Manager will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare, and other electrical construction projects. This individual will work closely with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure complete and accurate project pricing.

Responsibilities

  • Review plans, specifications, drawings, and bid documents to determine project requirements.

  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage, and specialty systems.

  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.

  • Prepare complete project estimates, budgets, and bid proposals.

  • Analyze project risks, labor requirements, equipment needs, and material costs.

  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.

  • Coordinate with project managers and field personnel to ensure estimating accuracy and continuity between estimating and project execution.

  • Maintain current knowledge of material pricing, labor rates, industry trends, and code requirements.

  • Assist in value engineering efforts and alternative pricing options.

  • Maintain organized estimating files and bid records.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of commercial and industrial electrical systems and installation methods.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of NEC requirements and industry standards.

  • Must be able to pass Act 34 clearances.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 - 10 years of similar/relevant work experience.

  • Experience with Procore or similar estimating software.

  • Electrical field experience or electrical license.

  • Experience estimating educational, healthcare, industrial, or institutional projects.
