HR Coordinator / Office Assistant

Leonard Workforce Solutions is recruiting an HR Coordinator / Office Assistant (DC Administration) for my client, a fast-growing distribution and warehousing company in Lackawanna County.
This is a full-time, ON-SITE position. The typical hours are M-F, 9AM to 5PM, but some scheduling flexibility is needed to meet business needs.
The starting wage rate is $23 - $26/hr. + amazing benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruiting and Onboarding:
Assist with the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial phone screenings.
Represent the company at recruitment events in the community, including at high schools, colleges, PA CareerLink etc.
Coordinate, conduct and participate in interviews, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
Prepare offer letters and other onboarding documentation.
Facilitate the new employee onboarding process, including conducting new hire orientations, collecting necessary paperwork, and ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment and onboarding records.
HR Support:
Assist employees with basic HR-related inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and benefits.
Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems.
Support the administration of HR programs and initiatives.
Assist with the preparation of HR-related reports and presentations.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
Office Administration:
Provide general administrative and clerical support, including managing phone calls, emails, and correspondence.
Maintain office supplies and place orders as needed.
Organize and maintain office filing systems and ensure efficient record-keeping.
Schedule meetings, appointments, and conference calls.
Assist with office organization and maintain a professional and welcoming environment.
Support with travel arrangements and expense reporting.
Perform other administrative tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
1-2 years of professional work experience ideal but not necessary.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proactive and resourceful with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Must be willing and able to work in a fast-paced office and warehouse environment.
